I’m off to work at 10pm tonight… ick. 

The United Steelworkers (USW) contract expires tonight (1/31) at midnight so contingency labor (that’s me) is expected to be prepared to take over work at that time. However, it’s highly unlikely the union would strike tonight. More likely is that a 24 hour extension will be issued and I’ll get to rinse-and-repeat the process tomorrow night. Ugh.

In either case I’ve got everything packed in my car that I would need to spend two weeks locked in the refinery as instructed by management.
