Scharffen Berger Tour

Another one off the San Francisco To-Do List:

Mom and I toured the Scharffen Berger factory in Berkeley. I recommend looking at the virtual tour here since it does a MUCH better job explaining the process than I do. Here’s us looking fabulous in our hairnets:

They were also handing out beard nets that looked even more stylish. We were glad we didn’t need one…

You can smell the chocolate from the parking lot, always a good sign. The tour was really fun and I learned a lot about chocolate. I even liked some of the dark chocolates they handed out for tasting (that’s right there was tasting, and it was extensive). Don’t worry I wasn’t converted, I’m still a milk chocolate girl. And to tell the truth, I think I’m going to stick with my Dove milk chocolates. Anyway, I highly recommend taking the tour if you’re in the area (and your not Dad who is allergic to chocolate).
