So long ago I blogged about some Keen sandals I wanted and then about how I ended up ordering them through REI’s website but they were on backorder. I waited patiently for almost a month to hear that they were finally in and I could go pick them up at the store. I finally got the email on Tuesday and rushed over Tuesday after work to claim my awesome new shoes (shipping is free if you pick them up at a store). I got them all the way home before I opened up the box and found these:

Not exactly the nice, soothing sage green color I thought I was ordering from the REI website. Their picture looks like this:

I’m guessing that the colors just display differently. Either way, very disappointing since I’d waited so long for them (and blown my precious 20% coupon on them). I couldn’t really stick with the bright green, although it was cute, because I want to wear these to work and neon lime green isn’t really appropriate. I don’t want people to see my shoes coming from the entire opposite end of the hallway…

There are no other colors that I really like (especially for the $80 they cost) so I returned the neon green and no more Keen sandals for me. :(
