Big Oil Trivia

Trivia Time:

How much are operating costs per year in a refinery that processes a quarter million barrels of crude per day?

How much of that cost is from energy needed to run the processes?

Answer is in the comments section.

Responses

Operating Costs: $1 billion/year
Half of that is in energy costs.

Stop blaming me for your high gas prices, it’s not refining.
